Nutrition Label Project

  • Collect nutrition labels from various food labels to analyze. (three per person)
  • For each of your labels:
    • Identify:
      • The Serving Size
      • Total Calories per Serving
      • Fat Calories per Serving
      • %DV’s listed on label (Name items and %DV)
    • Based on what you’ve learned in class, is this food item nutritious or not?  (Please do not base this decision on taste, smell, looks, etc.  You’re basing it on its Nutrient Content.)
    • Explain your answer.
